Seasons change.

OUR MISSION

To add beauty.

To create a space dedicated to contemplation,

DEDICATED TO NATURE

To create peace through nature.

A life defined by the natural world defines peace.

EDUCATION ON ALL LEVELS

Emphasis on native and regional flora and fauna.

Use art to educate at all levels.

Each work
wrapped with love

The joy of painting, nature and light.

“Art is a matter strictly of experience, not of principles, and what counts first and last in art is quality; all other things are secondary.”

 - Clement Greenberg, 1948

ARTIST STATEMENT:

I am honored to be selected by The Daymarc Foundation to participate in their art placement program. My work has been called therapeutic and will be created or selected with responsibility to its space, to adopt in my art placement an organization’s mission in my expression.

As part of this initiative the Daymarc Foundation will grant 501(c)3  organizations with a companion grant for operations or anything else you need.. Our goal is to create a calm yet uplifting natural environment.

My work is abstraction and representation. Nature plays a major role in the narrative. Sometimes without the laws of gravity.

For all painters from Renoir to Hockney, the first task is to hollow out an illusion of three-dimensional space on a flat surface. The illusion of space on a canvas always presents a sense of loss. My goal is to fill that void with light and overlay a different perspective.

“Fusing art and fashion, advertising and painting, Gentile somehow brings nature into the mix.” -Jeff Mini - collector, 2023

ARTIST BIO:

SUSAN GENTILE

Born in the 60’s suburbs of Long Island, NY in a time when gender roles were very defining of your future, I watched the Feminist Revolution and was grateful. The 70’s allowed me to think freely about art and culture. That period of time stamps my work. My career has crossed the worlds of fashion, design, retail, fundraising and hospitality all which merge inside my work.

My explorations in technique now combine techniques from printing and advertising.

EDUCATION:

MECA, Maine College of Art, Portland, Maine - M.F.A. (Honors)

LIU, Southampton College of Long Island University - B.F.A. (Honors)

FIT, Fashion Institute of Technology, New York - AAS in Advertising Design & Illustration (Honors)
